my comp is a piece-o-shit, so i was looking into dumping my windows (most likely just dual boot and use it for the programs, photoshop and such) and get linux. im not sure what kind to go with though. ubuntu is said to be really stable, and suse is supposed to be good too but idk. i just want something to use to surf the net without it getting killed with viruses. i was leaning more towards kubuntu but not sure.

so anyone that knows anything about linux please help, thanks

I used to run ubuntu, it was pretty sweet but my battery died during an update and corrupted stuff and i never installed it again. If kubuntu is anything like ubuntu, i say get it.
