I think it might make them get a little more pissed cause i know at my park most skaters say 'why don't you ride a skate-board? scooters are for fags!' and if you rocked up to the park they'd say 'omg what a copy of skate-boards' and shit like that since i've been ridin i've found that usually the good skaters are great with scooterers but then the shit wannabe ones say shit.... it is a good idea to make a wooden deck scooter because it'd shave off some weight and it'd be replacable i suppose.

I think its a good idea, i was gonna try in wood class at school and take an old skateboard in and get at it with a jigsaw. Really why does it matter if skaters make fun of it.

Sounds pretty cool Eric. We've had a few of our riders modify their Fuzions and put on wooden decks or reinforce the bottom of the frame with a wood grind plate and all they rave out is how fun rails, coping and grinding is now.

I MIGHT give some minor advice, if needed, even though i'm not the best person to give advice on building customized scooters, but that's for sure that i'm not gonna draw a scooter up from zero.

its a nice design and i think it would be good for some types of riding. but yea it seems like itd be weak but if youre riding it and its not then go for it.

and if madis doesnt wanna make a sketchup he doesnt have to. it takes time doing them as good as he does so why would he waste it if hes not gonna profit?

maybe some people dont just care about profit, they care about helping others when they need it. starting something up like that isnt easy, it takes help from certain people. maybe people want to help out just to spread the ideas of scootering and its possibilities.

A wooden deck is the most stupid thing ever. Yeah, skaters also have wooden decks, but they don't break them landing every single ollie because they put their feet over the trucks. I don't see how it would be possible to put your feet just over the wheels on a scooter so you wouldn't break the wooden deck.

i understand what youre saying totally and its great that some people would want to help out. id like to, but what im saying is if madis doesnt want to then why should he be forced to help? if hes got no motivation to help then he probably wouldnt be doing his best job anyway. and besides, i bet theyre plenty more people willing to help in some way. just because madis doesnt want to doesnt mean its the end of the world.
