At my skate park I've got a bowl that I enjoy dropping in on. The thing is though it is nearly impossible to air out of it because there are no parts to drop in where it is higher than a place to air out. There is one place but I dont want to drop in on a 12 ft ledge. So the only logical way I can come up with is to carve around in the bowl. The problem is there are no videos on utube or anything that have tutorials on carving. Because this is the only way I can come up with to air out I would like some tips to help me. PICTURES COMING SOON.

Dude just pump ur heart out then you'll get enough speed to air!

Yeah dude, once you learn to pump the opportunities are endless. Just find a good line to get to the place where you wanna air out and pump every time you hit tranny or ride through a pocket, then you'll be good.

The last clip in this video is me taking a run in my local bowl.

Like everyone is saying, just pump hard every time you're in a transition or a pocket.

K thanks. Does anyone besides Dan (by the way thanks for the video) have a video of themselves riding in the bowl. I feel confident but I'd still like to see some other guys.

I don't know what wheels and bearings you're riding, but faster bearings and wheels with harder urethane will definitely help you pump faster. If your wheels are harder, less energy from your pump will be lost, and you will go faster. Right now I ride bones reds bearings and Hyper Hyoctane 91A (hardness rating) wheels.

Today I took my bearings out and soaked them in rubbing alcohol. It cleaned them and after I put them in they would spin for over a minute after a good hit. I'm hoping that by doing that I can maybe get enough speed on the drop in to air out. Also I'm gonna start doing jump drop-ins to get more speed.

Ok so I successfully aired out today. I didn't go insanely high or anything (about a ft up) and landed. I did some work with my bearings the other day and I think that helped a little. I didn't pump around really I just pumped on the drop in and the fly out. Thanks everyone, I plan to put that in my mini video that I'm currently making.

Ahhhhhhhhh?? I'll get back to u on that. U cant tell in the pic but the ext. spine is actually about 3 1/2 ft. wide. I've NEVER seen anyone clear it (scooter, skateboard, or bmx). I might try it in a little bit but 4 now I'm gonna keep dropping in at the place to the left of it (in first pic) and air out on the right. I probably need to work on my pumping more to get good enough to get over it. I just cant practice much cause I try to stay out of skaters' ways cause I want respect.
