I have these skateboarders that live on my street and when ever they see me out on my scooter they say how gay it is and anyone can scooter and that scooters are only made for people who can't skateboard.

but then when i see other skateboarders they ask why i dont skateboard cuz scootering is alot harder

so this thread is about what do you think is harder? Skateboarding or Scootering?

in my opinion, i think you can do a lot more on a scooter than on a skateboard. i dont really know which is harder, cuz i sucked at skating, but i def know that scooters are more fun. ya cant flipwhip a skateboard!

you can flip whip?

anyways i always get told that skatings a lot harder than scootering. i think that starting skating is harder than starting scootering. when you get on a scooter you just go, but learning the basics of skating is a lot harder. howver as soon as you get past the first stage, i believe that scootering is just as hard as skating

i think scootering is harder. the first time i rode a scooter it took my like a month to learn a tailwhip. the first time i rode a skateboard it took me about 15 minutes to land a treflip

really? thats pretty nuts.
anyway, i think a tailwhip on a scooter is equal to an ollie, and something like a double flat is equal to a kickflip. they are 2 really different sports and they arent really comparable. it all depends on what you do best. you cant say its easier to 360 flat on a scooter than a skateboard, because a scooter you have handles. although its alot easier to ride fakie on a skateboard. so they are different things and certain things are easier on each. overall i think BASIC scootering tricks are easier. at least this is what i found.

scooters ARE for people who can't skateboard, get over it..

And I agree with jeff, the basics on a scooter are easier than the basics on a skateboard, but when you start getting into combos on a scooter it gets harder, because you can't really do combos on a skateboard unless you're playing tony hawk's pro skater..

Yeah, on a scooter you can link grinds and manuals and fakies a lot more than you can on a skateboard.

And there was a whole argument about this in some random thread and honestly, who cares?

i beg to differ i used to skateboard before i picked up a scooter and i was pretty good at it.. i just thought skateboarding was gettin boring and everyone was doing it and i wanted to be unique..

im not sure.. i always ride with a bunch of skateboarders and the one i ride with most is sponsered and i can jump onn his skateboard and ride around easy and learn things fafst but he cant on a scooter..

thats pretty crazy
it depends if your thinking that a tailwhip is the equivelent to something like a kickflip or even more common a bigspin then scootering is a lot easier, but i seem to think that something like a fingerwhip is equivelent to a kickflip or like a dubwhip is a bigspin idk

Same story here...
I can kikflip, doule kikflip, heelflip, varialkikflip, varial from a fakie ollie...50-50, 5-0...and so on...but it's so boring...I have more free room on my scooter, can do alot more stuff, huge jumps, air my mini ramp...

But yeah, I think skating is harder at the beginning, till you get it...at the first it's so easy to fall...

i dont like skateboarding as much so i don't really pay attention to whats harder, catching your tricks feel so much better plus you cant do park as well on skateboards, do you ever see anyone quad kickflip a flybox?

yeah, I guess that was what happened to me too, but the point I was trying to make was that who cares if it's easier, as long as you're having fun.

yea it deff depends on the rider... but i really think that skateboarding is harder... go ahead and step on a skateboard and try the things that are out there now... i couldnt do it... so i stayed with the #1 sport of SCOOTERING!!!

skateboarding is definately a lot harder, even if you can do some tricks pretty easy, think about their pro level, i know some kids who are sooo damn good, same level tricks as me on a scooter but there not gonna go pro, theres so much involved with skating, so many different typesof tricks. you dont have bars to save you, and if you land a lil sketchy youll fuck up. but i dont think scooters are for people who cant skate, cause i can skate haha
