i really don't think either is harder. scooters are easier to start on. pro skaters are better cause they live on their sponsorship money.

i think there about the same cuz basic stuff on a scooter any1 can pick 1 up and learn in a day (tailwhip, 360 , wheelie) on the other hand skateboarding it takes a little while to get a decent ollie going, any1 can jump with a scooter, hopfully =] my opinion is scooter basice are easier than skateboard basics, while scootering advance is harder then skateboarding advance, + skating has been out a lot longer than scooters =]

Skating is harder at the highest level than scootering at the highest level. Sorry, guys but it's true. Scootering is hella more fun though.

Hahaha, this is stupid. There is not harder or easier. You could take any "extreme" sport to any level you want.

I have these skateboarders that live on my street and when ever they see me out on my scooter they say how gay it is and anyone can scooter and that scooters are only made for people who can't skateboard.

but then when i see other skateboarders they ask why i dont skateboard cuz scootering is alot harder

so this thread is about what do you think is harder? Skateboarding or Scootering?

I've been scootering and skateboarding about for the same amount of time. Look at my skate video and my scoot video and see which one I am better at...

I agree Chadd.

Theres no limits to scootering or skateboarding. Obviously a 540 on a scooter is easier than a 540 on a skateboard. A Board Slide on a skateboard is easier than a Rail Slide on a scooter, but generaly skateboarding is harder and takes much more time.

First time i read this thread i think, but i totally disagree. Everyones different. Ive seen a kid that could do a bunch of decent shit on a skateboard try to scooter for like 2 weeks and could barely tailwhip... its different for everyone.

Its way too hard to compare skateboarding and scooters.

They do completely different tricks, it would have to be a comparison on every trick and on every terrain to each be decided haha.

comparing a tailwhip to a kickflip, the vast majority of people would say that tailwhip was easier. But you look at that and say, well we can throw tailwhips in soo many different tricks and with spins and over so many different things.... kickflips have never done that. There are some super tech people that can throw a bunch of flip tricks into a line or combo... but ist nowhere near as widely used as a tailwhip. Sure, most people would say that a tailwhip is easier, but thats why we link them togther with so many other things, or you see addy hucking a whip over wallenberg (sp?)... you gotta make it difficult and push the level of it.

I couldn't do a tailwhip in 2 weaks.... and don't forget that I said "generaly". I have been skateboarding just as long as I've been scootering, my friend scootered less then he skateboarded, and I have another friend who has been scootering for months but he's been skateboarding for atleast 2 years. All of these people are/were better on at riding a scooter.

I'm not dissing scooters. I think scootering is more fun and unique, but I have to say that generaly skateboarding is harder and takes more time and practice. When I leave my skateboard for a bit, It takes me awhile to get the flips back, but when I scooter I can do almost all of my tricks.
