Chromium and Molybdenum alloy for its high tensile strength and long wear, meaning better/smoother grinds

aluminum will bend and snap straight away so use chromoly because it is really light and strong.
Its heavier than steel ...

The strength to weight of chromoly is still better than that of steel.

I'm about to make a pair of good pegs. 1/2" sockets, with 7/8" OD 0.065" wall sleeves on the outside.

But does anyone know if you can weld tool steel to 4130 chromoly?
