aight, how many threads are you going to make about "should i make theses bars?" no one cares about your ideas because the are crap. and everytime someone tells you it wont work, which is a fact that it wont work, you tell them to stfu or gtfo. by now you should know that your ideas are crap and none of us care about them. do us all a favor and get off sr.

I'm pretty sure TI doesn't weld well at all, plus chromoly is much stronger. normal grade TI is heavier than aluminium and weaker than steel, if you make some bars get some 2024 aluminium, its the highest grade, its a bitch to weld but probably worth it, if not just get a buff stem and your set
No the highest grade would be around 7075 alu but can't be welded
a good alloy to use is 6061-T6(aircraft grade) its easier to weld but a tad more expensive
oh wow, aircraft grade! that means its still the ezact same metal but, they use it on planes D:
doesnt mean anything.

It allways depend on what you need the Alu for which the best grade is.

the first numer EN AW 6### or 7### says how hard the "skin" of the alu is.

and the hardest alloy which has the highest tensile strength is 7075

here is a small list of different alu sorts http://www.umformtechnik-alu.de/aluminium.html

sorry the page is in german but just translate it

Ti has to be completely sheilded while welding. Like in a completely sealed chamber full of sheilding gas and absolutely no contaminates (air :). So good luck getting all that sorted.
Oh heres some chambers. You need one for ti. Also ti is extremely difficult to weld so good luck.

^^ that.

and, titanium is NOT stronger than chromoly, plus it flexes alot more.

titanium is not ideal at all for scooter parts, unless you were like racing or something. other than that, its not worth it at all.

Pretty much should only go for Titanium is you want to spoil yourself. It is lighter but just about as strong as Chromoly. But I honestly don't think it should be an issue unless you want to make a set of three or four piece bars that will be basically the same weight as classic two pieces. I'd be careful though, there's a reason they basically only use Titanium for select few BMX racing frames...

But as far as making them, they are difficult. I wouldn't do it myself, if I were you. I'd maybe find someone with the experience and pay for the service, or find someone you know who knows what they are doing while hopefully getting a hook up on labor fee's. Materials aren't cheap though as is.

my bike frame is 7075.

also TI is not to 30 a stick. 2024 and 7075 are 50+ a stick. so how the fnck can TI be less??? it will cost 800+ to make a TI set of bars. and TI is not strong at all. it is very light. but it flexxes. there is a reason why bike frames and scooter parts are steel, aluminum. chromo.

and why the fnck do you think you can come on here and ask stupid fnckin questions and be a dick about it?? yea we were all noobs and asked stupid questions once. but your not just asking stupid questions, your being a fnck about it because your wrong. or because you think you know more then ppl that have been riding/building since before you were born. i started to scooter when i was 3. you were just being about umm 4 months?/

serioulys shut the fnck up or gtfo. im not just baggin on you for being a noob and asking stupid shit and fnck up the sight that i enjoy when i cant ride. your being a total dick. so fnck you and have a nice day

Ok guys, i admit i am a dipshit and I dont know much but i think this could be good

Depending on the grade you got, titanium is a way better material that chromoly because it is stronger and lighter, although its a bitch to weld

Once I get some money ill make some titanium buffs to show you

And i got enough 6061-T6 allu for a pair of bars for $3 please stfu

take a cross bar of chromo and a cross bar of Ti. the TI is lighter i will give you that. but the TI is wayyyyyyyy weaker.

i dont give a fnck if your minning the ironore your self. Ti is not 30.

your are so full of shit that aluminum is 3 a bar. if eveyone could get it that cheap they why would ppl sell bars for 55-90?? it would be a total rip. so keep your little discount to your self. we dont care!

His discount is the scrap yard lol. Not the same.

And Ti cracks worse than aluminum. Fnck ti, the only reason they make bike parts from it is because the dumbass rich folk will buy it for bragging rights lol.

the welding process for ti is ridiculously complicated and i had the ti grim reaper bmx frame and it bends and flexs like crazy it feels really weird

Can you guys chill? Just an idea haha

I still might make some buffs for bragging rights :D

And all the prices I have said are 100% true so be quiet

I paid $3 for enough t6 allu to make myself bars, and yes they were from a "scrapyard"but its more like a home depot

Please just chill and stop with the hate ok?

would be a waste of money, its too expensive...

btw, they WONT suck if the design is good, french id bars are made of ALU which is way weaker than Ti.
anyway... its too expensive

kk thanks for bein cool about it

PS: i made some alluminum bars from the specs in the scooter modding thread and they didnt fit, i had to spend 2 hours grinding down the inside, then hammered them on

Actually I think this would be great Idea if you use the same design as the vulture bars and I've ridden a grim reaper Ti frame and when I flat whipped it didn't bend or anything so idk what your talkin about mike^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
