its impossible for the steel crossbar to not be thick....liltony said:it is. its not a buff cross bar, and its not thick, but heavier then the aluminum one and weaker. so aluminum wins.
(im not a weight freak my scooter weighs 9 pounds)

no its not? a steel crossbar can be as thick as you want. like saying buffs have to be one size..AaronA said:its impossible for the steel crossbar to not be thick....liltony said:it is. its not a buff cross bar, and its not thick, but heavier then the aluminum one and weaker. so aluminum wins.

THANK YOU. Don't make your scooter parts heavier if it doesn't make it stronger. haha, I don't know if anybody remembers Allen Gett's scooter from the TIC comp in 2007. He drilled holes everywhere in his deck. Along the sides, on his bars, he carved out his headtube, everything. It was by far the lightest scooter I've ever felt. He broke it doing tricks into the foam pit in a couple hours...coryM said:I hate this weight freak business haha. Its a joke. So much sh!t on SR about weight right now. Whats wrong with light parts? As long as a scooter is strong enough to last a decent amount of time, who really gives a fnck about people tryin to keep the weight down?
Now people who take "lightweight" too far and break their balls, those are weight freaks.
Its all about keeping it as light as possible while still maintaining the strength necessary to withstand your daily riding.
edit: by breaking their balls I meant eating sh!t when their scooter crumbles cause of the "weight saving" holes drilled everywhere on their scooter.
