Polyurethane

Does anyone know anything about polyurethane? I was wondering if anyone knew whether this substance is able to be melted and set again. Help would be appreciated thanks.

Those prototype wheels Bill gave me, were some ElectricUrethane

Skateboard wheels material(not good for scooters,unless the rim is much much bigger and there is less Urethane)!!

I think polyurethane would be the perfect substance for the wheel if you got the measurements and hardness right. But still, if anyone knows if it can be melted and re-moulded let me know.

yea itd be heaps better if the rubber on the tyres were harder so the wheels dont wear down as fast...

Do an experiment:

You need:
- A box of matches.
- An old broken scooter wheel
- A cup of water;

1.Go outdoor (so you wont toxicate yourself with burnt polyurethane or something).
2.Light the fire.
3.Put the wheel over the fire.
4a. If the wheel starts burning, pour it with water.
4b. If the wheel starts melting then be happy.
5. The end.

i can prove that it melts, but it gets softer when it hardens, i was doin a really long manny down a hill with yaks, it was a long manny, i swear like a football feild or more, anyway the ruber got melted to the brake and i had to scrape it off so yes it does melt

agreed. and manual a football field wouldnt melt a yak...ive manualed for ike fucking half a mile + on my yaks..either that or you break a lot.
