Possibly Flying to Cali for my Spring Break, Scooter on airplane?

Like the title I am possibly going to be staying with my dad in Chino Hills, CA, and I would like to know this. My Handlebars are pretty damn wide, 25.5 inches to be exact, and want to know if anyone knows if you can work something out with the airline co. because one does not simply fit 25+ wide handlebars in a less than 23 inch wide piece of luggage. So does anyone have possible info on doing so?

I am still looking around but am posting here for possibly a faster answer. Thank you for reading.

check it in as oversized luggage man, we got it in AUS so you lot should

I brought mine on as carry on and i was fine; but my bars are 22 wide

Just bring it as carry on, if they don't let you bring it they'll gate check it for you.
They made me gate check my bars but let me bring the rest of my scooter in my carry on bag hahahahaha.

Just put your deck, forks, scs, headset in your suitcase, then just bring the bars on the plane as carry on

yeah honestly they should; i got on without an elyts bag just with it in my hands; but they might be dicks and try to take your allens or something

i find it kinda sketchy like, the airport security or whoever will probably look at my scoot and think its some sort of weapon lol

and someone might steal my scoot if they see it right there on the belt thing or wherever

i just take apart my setup and put my scoot in my suitcase, i have a pretty big one i guess, but its big enough to fit my setup
