powder coating

hi my blunt strippers are purple and i want them powder coated black, i know where to get it done but do i need to raw the bar or sandblast them before getting them powder coated?

Generally rawing them helps make it so it the powder coat sticks better if I remember correctly. Just sand that paint off.
