Pre threaded tubing

Hey, I was wondering if there was any USA sites that carried pre threaded chromoly (or 4140) tubes that are the same dimensions as old a and pro steer tubes (if there is a difference). I've been having trouble finding prethreaded tubing in general.

You dont need a threaded steertube, even if your fork is threaded.

The threads will most likely get pressed into the metal over time anyway.

I guess I dont quite understand how the steer tube could not be threaded. Im guessing it has to do with the clamp though.

just get a piece of tubing and clamp it really tight basically like the buffs.

i think its just the steer tube getting loose and rubbing against the thread from the fork and gets thread marks on the steer tube.....

Yup. Just buy a decent BMX clamp and your good to go.

Will the stock clamp be good enough?

Probably, might need to stack 2 of them (if there single clamps). BMX ones are wayyy better though, there easier to tighten, do a better job, and look nicer.
