Problem. please help!

i didnt know where to post this, so sorry for the new thread.

when i film stuff, it plays back on my camera fine. good quality, normal speed etc.
but when i put it on my computer, some of the clips skip around. some are normal, but other speed up and stuff like that. i had one clip of whipping a big set, but you cant tell. im at the top, then next thing you know, im at the bottom.....wtf!
has this happened to anyone else? and do you know any reason why it might do this? is it the camera, the firewire, the software? im confused and pissed as hell

yeah it happened to me plenty of times. I'm pretty sure it's just glitches, and in my case, the computer being really slow and crappy.

ive only thrown together 2 short edits, and they both had messed up spots

yea i had the same problem, it was the computer, just dont have anything else upen when you put it on your computer and it should be fine

How much RAM is in your computer? And your editing program should tell you if frames were dropped during capture... which means you should probably recapture the clip.

probably your computer lagging. same thing happens to me sometimes. especially in vegas with my mt2 files from my hg20.

i was on the internet when i captured the clips, so thats probably the problem.
im also working on window movie maker, so its probably not the greatest program. im trying to get adobe premiere pro. i use it in school and like it
