Problem's With Cam+Lens

Ok guys, I just got my Kenko .43 Fish in the mail and I forgot I needed a step up ring. I call the Sony store and they wouldnt even talk to me because I had a Samsung. Said none of the sony stuff will fit it. Is that true? If its not Ill go down there and get one, if not, will this fit my Samsung SC-D351? I need a 30-37. Thanks
