well did he listen to him?
oh and i was thinking abouut all the kids that have broken reds in micro metalcores, and wouldn't increasing the core thickness just totally shatter any bearing?

wtf? "all the kids that have broken reds in micro metalcores"? who are these kids haha? i doubt it had much to do with the wheel, because reds pretty much suck.

but that might be plausible, just wait for someone else to post.

no, itd be too hard to machine. see it looks good on a flat paper but you gotta think that this thing is round so just think how would they cut that out? you wouldnt be able to.

conor, can you make some of those 3d models out of erics bottom picture? and we can send these off to lee and might we just have us a wheel.

Its ghetto, but with micro metal cores, if you wrap a piece of electrical tape around the outside of the bearing and put it in the wheel it stops the annoying click and im pretty sure the bearings won't break as quick.

i had to tap my my bearings in, with electrical tape it seems like it would be almost impossible to get them in... with the electrical tape staying on that is

Wait a month, take off a wheel... you won't be able to get your bearings to stay in haha. You should have lubed the outside of the bearing up when you put them in. Not lubing them is step one to fucking up the bearing slots.

I like Eric's first idea (my idea :) ) because with the 2nd one there would still be the chance of the urethane coming up on the edges, and with the bmx style hub it would be pretty much good. But the problem with that is it might come up to much and it'll be bad when the urethane wears down/when you try to turn sharp/both.

i like the 1st idea most just gonna say you could do the 1st idea and instead of having a t shape in the middle like some people are suggesting maybe have just an "i" shape instead of having nothing ?

well if madis is right which most likely he is, we will just go with the i shaped teeth with the bmx style sides that come up around the urathane.

also would it be harder if the i teeth had the bowl shape around them under the urathane?

yea i like the first one better too. i think we should just go with that one since everyone seems to like it. and if yous all agree, ill make the final sketch with the measurements and all but ill make the core a little smaller so the urethane will have more sidewall and wont get fucked if you decide to turn real sharp.

and i dont think the 'I' will be necessary. with the bmx-style sidewalls plus the fact that you can get a urethane to metal bond thats actually stronger than the tear strength of the urethane, i think well be set.

ok cool, bmx style sides and have the urathane metal bold should work wonders.

make the final sketchup with measurements and i will send it off.
