Don't ride them until january, and then wear one in the front for 3 weeks, then if you're riding 2 put the worn one in back and the new one up front.

That is actually pretty accurate although I know no one will want to wait that long. They are safe to ride once you get them but the best performance won't come til about January after they are fully cured.
