Thanks man, means a lot coming from you. And for the all thread compression that is just an option if people don't have a threadless SR fork or other kind of fork with the bottom insert welded in for the bolt. The new PROTO threadless forks will not have that insert in the fork anymore. It is a temporary option until the new compression systems come out early next year. All thread will still be the cheaper alternative to the new PROTO Standard Compression System.coryM said:Your gonna run all thread up from the fork to the topcap of the bars? Thats quite a bit of unecessary weight in my opinion. A regular old star nut or welded nut in the bottom of the bars seems easier to me. Those slaYer bars are sickk though. Honestly I like them tons more than the Buffs. It's good to see things are starting to take off finally. Seems like the sports grown so much in the last couple years...
kolby crouch said:all you riders, need to learn that patience is a virtue, your not helping anything by nagging andrew about when your wheels are coming or when the bars are going to be availible, the ups trucks not going to come any faster plus your probably not going to be allow to ride them until x-mas anyways. i don't believe alot of you know the value of time, hard work and money, and these are exactly the things that andrew are putting in to these products, which probably arent cutting him a huge profit, so the least you could do is be respectful and patient. you have to realize that these products have been tested thoroughly to ensure that they are the best out there, and your only deminishing their strength/endurance by deliberatly going against the instructions that andrews giving you, hes trying to make sure that you are completely satisfied so don't complained to him when you messed your parts because you could't wait a week or two.
sorry for ranting
p.s. thank you andrew for dedicating your time to making these parts, alot of people don't realize how much you do and i would like for you to know how much I and the rest of the scooter world appreciate it.
he posted it somewhere and said ~100-120~andy! said:how much will the forks be

I just got a Micro XT and that is a fairly decent scooter out of the box. There are still a lot of things I don't like about it but it is definitely rideable bone stock.
Either way this is the PROTO Scooters thread NOT the "_____" scooter thread so lets keep it on topic.
New forks will be PROTO and the reason BUFFs are not PROTO is because they use ADA stems and ADA is not PROTO. Like I've been saying, PROTO is going to be coming out with a lot of stuff next year so BUFFs will be fully PROTO once we get our new stems out.Ryan Keong said:yer and why arent buffs (proto)Kelby- said:So when the v.3 SR forks come out, will they be proto or SR?

My goal is to release the new compression system and the new forks at the same time so I don't have to worry about making all the parts backwards compatible like I'm doing now.
