If they bend and break you can cut them down and get an SCS.
So what you're saying is that if a kid bends your bars at the slot, he has to pay another seventy five dollars to make his scooter rideable?

Doesn't sound right to me. Does it? I would rather just buy another pair of bars for that price.

Then play it smart, get an SCS. Why would you pay 75 bucks just to get the same exact pair of bars when you could have got a compression system quad clamp which is way better then any normal double clamp?

Alright seriously, get off your knees Byron.
I have ran Proto bars and compression system. Luckily, I got the SCS in a deal with Andrew because I bent his bars. A month later, the SCS seized.
I am going to have to say that RAD makes better bars and a more reliable compression system that takes all of one minute to retighten.

For the record, if I bent a pair of bars, I wouldn't buy the same ones. I am not cradling Proto's balls like this entire forum.

Sure, you might not like my opinion on the matter, but whatever.

Just thought I would give my thoughts on this whole "Proto is god" situation.

I hope more kids adopt your mind set of continuing to buy parts they know are going to break and will eventually instead of solving the actual problem. It will create a lot more business for the aftermarket parts companies.

Thanks for the support!

I am a little confused by your statement there Andrew.

Are you trying to say that... once kids buy everything Proto and have a complete Proto scooter, none of their parts will break?

Come on now. If this is what you are trying to say, then you are filled with ignorance sir.

Okay heres what i have to say. Where exactly did i say "Proto is god" and im crading protos balls like you say the whole entire forum is?

Sorry if you broke your bars and your scs seized. My scs got a bolt stripped in it and i had to cut into the scs to get the bolt out and still the scs works perfectly. I got over it. I dehubbed my protos and i got over it. Im also about to dehub another proto and guess what, im gonna get the fuck over it.

I had both Rad v3's and Proto slayers, guess what i think, there bars. And i agree with you, if i bent a pair of bars, i wouldn't buy the same pair.

Thing is, aftermarker products are going to hold up better then stock products, its fact. Nothing is gonna last forever. But proto parts seem to last longer then others. With so many people having them over other aftermarket companies.

But i seriously hate how ignorant you think i am and how i'm "cradling protos balls". Lets just end it here, i don't feel like arguing with anyone. If i offended you, im sorry. I just thought i would state my opinion just like most people do.

Thank you for explaining yourself. I totally respect your opinion about Proto and everything like that.

It's just everytime I come onto this forum there is some type of post containing, "OMGZZZZZ I <3333 PROTO Th3y 0Wn my D1CK :O"

Thanks for posting a mature response. I respect you a whole lot more now.

Have a good day sir.

For once this is probably the best conversation ive had with someone about there opinions where they didn't flip complete shit on me. I really appreciate your response and i know exactly what you mean about random people just saying proto is amazing and they never rode any proto parts. It gets old but all well.

Ignorance is breaking bars at the slot then buying new slotted bars for the same price you could buy an SCS that would fix the weak point forever and won't break. I'm not saying a full PROTO scooter will never break but it will certainly outlast most everything on the market and if it does break in a way that qualifies for part of our lifetime warranties we will replace it for free. I don't hype my parts to fool my customers, I hype my parts because I design and manufacture them to be the best. I take pride in them and I stand behind them. If you can find another company that offers as much as I do and stands behind it as much as I do, let me know.

Okay. If you so your parts are the best then I might as well comply. I mean, your Andrew Broussard?

There is no higher authority in the scooter world than you!

Once again... I stand behind my accusation that you are indeed ignorant.

I'm sure any other company would stand by their products, Trevor. Find me a company that says their parts are shit, please.

It's not that. It's when the companies over-hype them beyond their abilities.

this is entertaining. well im not gonna say anything cuz i dont wanna get into it. but andrew i have buff bars with ics. i want scs, so obviously i need to cut my bars so theres no slit. if i cut the steertube just enough so theres no more slit, will they be the same height when adapted onto the scs clamp? sorry im just debating whether to sell my buffs and get other bars or to just cut. thanks.

If you cut 2" off the bottom then your bars will be the same height. Depending on how tall the slits are on your BUFFs you might not even have to cut that much off and you could potentially make your bars a little taller if you wanted. No need to get new bars unless you just wanted to try something new.
