Proto scs clamp

How come the big proto scs clamp on freestyle depot says pat pend but the one on inward doesnt ? Do one of they websites have fake scs ?

If it has "PAT PEND." on then it is the newer version (batch wise). Or INWARD just haven't changed the picture!

Since i don't wanna make a thread or search, what are the possible problems that could occur with scs, like the bolts breaking, stripping, or the threads in the scs stripping and stuff like that, is there anything worse than what I have said here. Because im getting an scs and Im unsure about it.

If you don't tighten it properly or grease it every now and then, sometimes bolts seize or strip. Using the correct sized allen key and greasing every now and then will keep it working flawlessly. I've had two scs' myself and never had a problem due to regular maintenance.

Pat. Pend means the patent is pending, and depending on PROTO's attitude towards other companies, they may have to stop selling / making SCS's.
Although i doubt that would happen.

oh ok, thanks rub, so just grease the fork and the inside of the scs and the bolt threads and stuff, and it should work fine for a quite a long time right, thanks sooo much
