It would function as a quad clamp if you didnt have any compression(didnt use the starnut in forks, but that would be pointless and unecessary

I think he's saying can he use SCS as a quad clamp?
If so, no, you cant.

No, there's a lip on the inside that the bars fit onto. below that, the hole is barely big enough for a forktube, let alone bars. And another thing, a quad clamp would only weaken your bars, as it creates a pressure point above where the fork doesn't reach.

Ok.

YOU CANT USE (WELL SHOULDNT) A SCS ON A THREADED FORK AS IT CRATES A WEAK SPOT WHERE THE FORKTUBE DOSENT REACH THE TOP FEW BOLTS.

SCS SHOULD ONLY BE USED ON Threadless Forks.

That clear enough? Lock thread.

EDIT- AND ALSO, IF YOU USE A SCS ON THREADED FORK, YOU WILL END UP PUTTING THREADS INTO YOUR SCS FROM CLAMPING IT TO THE FORK AND THAT HAS BASICALLY RUINED IT.

And, why the f*** would you spend all that money on a SCS when you dont have threadless forks and could have bought a sweet normal clamp and its made for threaded forks for $20?
