PS3 Price Drop

PS3 60GB model is now $500. The 20GB model got discontinued awhile ago. The price drop spiked the PS3s sales up on Amazon to 2800% over taking Wii and GH 80's edition... doesn't seem like a failure after all now does it? Sony made a good move

This is good for consumers, but I think that it will be bad for Sony, as they were already losing money on PS3's. I pick one up after some worthwhile games come out.

i decided not to get ps3 right after demo machines in the stores freeze on me more than once.
i like the whole ideas and functions,
but i wanna try something more than just Sony,
Sony had created some good things,
but had also killed a lot of m trust.

theyre much more reliable than 360s, and way better than wii's. dude you see whats been happening to wii's with the pixels popping up on screen. it happened to both of my roommates that have them and basically made game's unplayabe. yeah, nintendo fixed it, but they had to ship them their wii to do it, way too much of a hassle.

I heard the newer (cheaper) PS3's weren't backwards compatible? I looked into it but all I found were some problems with older games.

yeah, im not too big fan of wii,
idk... Sony = high tech, Nintedo = Great Style, Microsoft = in between.
i had been a sony guy all this time, i kind of wanna try xbox360 though, but not til they get the new chips out.
PS3... hm, the price tag is killing me.
