Is Such a Waste of money.
600 for 60gb maybe but the whole playstation playing us and only putting 15 in each store that carries them.
Ill wait until im like 19 to get one when they are like 200.

Whats your whole outlook on this "Gameing Console"

i dunno, havent played consoles pretty long time ( actually i have but its pretty rare, i play like 2-3 times max in month PS2 ). some of my friends are probably getting them but i think that is waste of money.

Not a waste of money. Heres a small list of reasons why man...
-You can buy the 500 dollar model, sacrifice the sd/compact flash and the other slot, and use the extra money to buy a different hard drive AND SONY ALLOWS YOU TO SWITCH THE DRIVE without voiding your warrenty
-HOMEBREW IS SUPPORTED, and thats one of the reasons you can sacrifice them slots i was talking about becuase im sure somone is going to come out with an FTP app to transfere files, or you can just use linux
-YOU CAN RUN ANY LINUX DISTRIBUTION! So you basicly have a PC/Gaming console
-Who needs wifi? i'd rather hardwire my console to my network since wireless isnt as reliable, and i allready have a ethernet cord run to where my ps3 would be, where my ps2 is now
-Backwords compatibility :) although its not at its best right now, theres always firmware updates
-If you have a psp you can use it for special features, such as a rear view mirror for racing games
-If you have a PSP and PS3, your going to be able to download PS1 games on the ps3 and send them to your PSP and play them on there! And im sure soon your just going to be able to rip your old disks to the PS3 and send the image file over to PSP and play them.
-The thing just looks damn sexy, although its a fingerprint magnet...

I can go on, i'm not getting one yet though since most consoles have problems at launch (yeah every console does, so don't trash sony)

lol yeah both ps3 and wii will be cool because because the wii is cheaper but ps3 will be better graphics and stuff

Plus PS3 has that built in...blue something or other...Its the new DVD, Blueray? Dont remember. Ill I know id that these "blueray" players cost $1000+

I got myself banned.
Single layer blueray disks are 25GB (i think), dual are 50GB... whats so good about that? For games, think of how much better developers can make graphics and how much more data their going to to be able to fit on the disks. For movies? Ever hear of high definition? Duhhh.

i mean it seems like just when you get your console you have now somthing else comes out and there are no games that will continue to come out. I just know the availability is going to be almost impossible until at least a couple months after xmas.

I don't really want to buy those things. I only spend my money on my fingerboards and scooters AND SHIPPING!!GRRRRR I hate shipping.

These things spoil your eyes( stupid reason not to get one) but they cost so much. Better to spend it on my scooter =)!

Right now a PS3 is cheaper than a blueray player haha... the players go for like a 1000 and i dont know if theres a burner on the market yet

no, blue ray is a totally different technology, so 25gb on a bluray disc.

personally i think its awesome, but ive got other things to spend 500 dollars on. and its going to be basically impossible to get one for awhile until sony actually ships a decent amount. but its basically a supercomputer for gaming, whats bad about that? a 500 dollar supercomputer? that plays blurays? obviously not overpriced for what it packs.

i was just going to get a ps3 to sell on ebay they r going for $3,000 but i just found out that people have been camping out in front of the stores f or 2 days so thast otha the question... i personal like psp
