I was having a very hard time putting them on, so I decided to get the inside wet to lube them up and make them easier to slide on...

but now they won't stop sliding and haven't yet dried, and I did this a good 5 hours ago. Will they ever dry, and if not, should I use some sort of glue to hold them in place?

air compressor is the best if you have it, or if you don't, get a friend and a bicycle pump...

What kind of lube? Take them off and boil them for 5-10 minutes. It boils out all the oils in the rubber and makes them softer. Then while there still wet and hot slide them back on your bars and wait for about an hour and should be stuck on there pretty good. Make sure you wiped off the lube thats on your bars also or it will have no effect.

put electrical tape on the bars and then spray hairspray or degreaser inside the grips and let them dry.......... works for me.

you must have done something horribly wrong becuase the lock ons should actually slide loosely right on over your bars becuase they have the locks to keep them in place.

WTF? One of my grips absolutely refuses to stay on.

I used rubbing alcohol to slide them on, and let them dry overnight/through the day (about 11 hours) and the left one is stuck in place, but the right one slides off like it's made of butter.

Whats the deal? I boiled it and am letting it dry again but if this doesn't work IDK what to do.
