QUiCK HEADSET HELP PLEASE

Hey guys I got a new headset today and when I was putting it on I realised that the little headset washer ring thing doesn't go down the forktube properly. What do I do, thank you.

you have to hit it on all the way you could hit it on with some bars or a hammer and a screwdriver make sure the flat side is on the bottom

its called a crown race. hammer it on with an old scooters headtube

hammer it down with a peice of tubing or something of that nature

Get your bars and slide them down the fork so that they are sitting on the crown race. Then get a plank of wood and bash your bars (in the middle above the downtube, not on the handles). Alternatively you could sit the wood on your bars and then beat the wood with a hammer.
