Raw Clearcoat

so i ended up rawing my scooter after like weeks of contemplating what to do with it. now im just curious if there is any specific type of clear coat i should be useing for it? i deffinately dont want it to rust or anything so i need a good strong clear coat. thanks again guys :)

just think the thicker the better. If it is alu like your deck, you won't need clear coat as it doesn't rust. But your things like chromo (your bars/other things) you'll need it.

automotive works. Anything with strong adhesive to metal will work.
I just use good ol' rustoleum

Yes and No: It certainly isn't a bad idea just costly unless you know someone at a Body shop to shoot the bars for you and really the way scooters get banged up the clear coat isn't going to last very long.

Anything off the shelf called " automotive clear coat" really isn't the same thing.

As Rob mentioned just grab some Rusto clear coat or any brand off the shelf and rattle can the bars. Let each coat dry completely before applying the next coat- Follow the directions on the can.

when they get banged up just sand them with a 220 grit and rattle can them again.
