Old fashion sandpaper should work. Dont like do it in different patterns.
Do it in one pattern so it looks good.

it's anodized, thats why its so hard to get off. I'd say do what the other ppl sed^^^ if you do it neatly with sandpaper it'll look good
 
use a coarse sandpaper, then move on to a less coarse one, less, less, less. Or use a coarse then use something less coarse but under running water.

I remember a while ago I read that you have to put oven cleaner in a little plastic baggie and soak the scs in it. It should take all the paint off.

u take oven cleaner and put it in a bag the put it in and seal the bag off leave it for an hour or 2 and it just like melts off when u wipe it
