Razor Ultra Pro

well your right, it doesn't matter to them, but only because kids buy their scooters anyway. whatever makes them money stays, simple as that. razor is not around to help the scooter scene improve, and they never really were. they are only around to make money, so don't expect them to listen to anything we have to say. and this was to hep greg by the way.

Why would you defend them when you have these things in mind?

More money spent on UP's means less being spent on companies that actually give a shiit about the freestyle scootering community.

whether or not razor cares is besides the point. if they make a decent scooter, then i'm going to buy it. im not against supporting businesses, but i buy what's the best quality for the price.

the ultra pro has the same amount of decks space but its like a inch shorter or less than that and if your sooo woried about cracking orr snapping your deck than get a deck reinforcment and/or a deck saver and there are people that love it and there are people that hate it and its not razor that designed it it was one of there pros just like the original pro and if you dont like it there are people that will switch you for a tsi or lucky all the time i have seen amazing street riders ride them and they have no problem and you can sell all the part on them super quick for a lot for what they are its all about your opinion not everyone elses

Lol.

For one, when you get the deck reinforcements, that makes the deck heavier, which puts more stress on the ALREADY weak neck, so its prone to snap.

And also, Pretty much everyone i have talked to say its --- and hate it. And i think that too...

seems like a lot of people claim the <0.5 inch deck length decrease is the make or break in their ability to land anything, I haven't even noticed it with 10.5 size shoes

I do however agree that the head tube angle could use a few degrees adjustment, sometimes throws me into auto-manual

i'm still stoked to get mine, though it's a shame there is so many negative opinion about it, some people really like it and some hate it

The problem is, everyone here is so damn spoiled. They take the top products on the market, find the smallest detail, and piss and moan about it. Then all the followers hop on the bandwagon to make it seem worse than it really is.

To be honest, 8 or 9 out of 10 riders that I know have tried them, loved them when they adjusted to the length. And I've only heard of about three or four people who have snapped a weld or bent a deck, and I'm one of those people. I bent mine the other day. Another being Darger, who was trying to snap his by running it into the ground doing massive gaps and stairs.

EDIT: Another thing people seem to overlook is the fact that Razor released a super light, but strong scooter with the major mods taken care of, around the same price as a set of aftermarket bars, shipped.

mine is amazing
I like it so much better than old pros
No messing with the foldy, just hop on and ride.
And the length feels fine to me.
Maybe it's because I'm short.

Thing is, even riders like Jason Beggs, who are 6'0+ adjusted to the length and shred on them. Jason loved his Ultra Pro.

And just like "flipasian" posted, I wear a 10.5 also, and that loss of an inch from a Pro Model doesn't even effect me, specially since the headtube doesn't take up as much room on a deck compared to a folding system. And everyones bitching about headtube angle, they make it sound like the bars are in their hips when they ride. Definitely not anything like that. It's slightly more forward than a Pro Model if I remember correctly. So the dimensions havent really changed from a Pro Model to an Ultra Pro. Only dimension that changed was the wheel to wheel length, which lost an inch because of the deck length.

i really like this deck. there is a few things i would like to see from razor, but i know they would never happen

4.5 ultra pro.
strip down bottom of deck
some sort of tsi bolt on brake ( to dial it )
a 81.5 deg headtube angle
integrated headset

i would buy one, and alot of other fellow tsi 4.5 riders i feel would aswell

thats mee haha 4.5 all the wayy

If the ultra pro's angle was the same as an old A headtube with a 3/8ths bolt behind the headtube (on a pro foldy) it would be a bit more awesome.

After riding a lucky deck/tsi, the bars feel so leaned back. But it's a lot lighter than the lucky, so I like 'em both.
Ultra pro feels like a kiddy scooter it's so damn light hahaha

Its a chill frame. I ran 2 already.

Headtube angle was fine for me, felt great manualing. Pretty light.

Headtube is ---- not strong, snapped 2 headtubes. 1 in..a month 1/2, and the other in 9 days. If you ask for pictures, ill upload in a little.

Stronger?

Are the Ultras stronger than the original pros?? What wou;d most likely break first. An ultra pro headtube or a pro's dropouts?

my opinion would be that the ultra pro head tube would most likely break first

you have to remember that the ultra pro is a much lighter (and damn sleek) one piece deck, therefore it probably fits a smoother flow type riding style versus one that is always bombing gaps and stairs or constantly landing on flat concrete etc

I'd say you'd snap or bent a Pro Model long before you snap an Ultra Pro. But flipasian makes a good point. It does kind of seem like the smoother, flow riders would be able to make the Ultra Pro last longer. Before I bent mine, I ran my first Ultra Pro deck for awhile, nothing bent or snapped. Rode it for I think two months, and it still felt like brand new when I gave it to a friend to ride and switched to a new second deck. I consider myself a pretty smooth rider since I rarely bend or snap parts. But oddly enough I bent my second deck doing barspin to fakie combos out front of my house. Like I had said in another thread, it may not have been heat treated correctly, if not, then maybe flipasians post was correct.
Either way, I'd still say that it's a great buy for all you get.

I definitely wasn't insinuating that the u-pro is by any means a weak deck, I think personally I've let myself get spooked by stories and have taken it easy so far

and yeah, the price for the ultra pro is a steal when you consider everything it comes with, gotta love that and can't wait until the new bar dimensions come out
