Like Billie said, that just more welds = fail.

I dont think that reod bit under the headtube will do anything...

Yeah, it's still welded to the headtube. That little widget won't do much of anything.

Oh, aside from add a new weakspot.
They break AT THE WELD. Not on the neck. where the neck and the tube combine.

Somehow my friend had one i sold to him and the neck broke straight in half. It's in my basement.

I'm 215 pounds and flip, flair and do big stair rails everyday. Bought my Ultra Pro in Dec 09 from titetoyz. I use my own bars I made(21x16.5 4130 chromoly, the rest is stock) and so far I've not had a single problem. Only thing I break are wheels. Also I have HOLES drilled in my deck for when I attach skis to it in the winter... Seems pretty legit.

I doubt that extra plate thingy will do anything.. Its not even where it snaps and it just more welds to break...

Do you know what a gusset is/does? They put it in a pretty good spot, cause that's where the crack usually starts. They should have done something to reinforce where the neck hits the deck, but that gusset is a step in the right direction.
