reinforcing xt headtubes

so my headtube snapped and i thought of a way to reinforce it but dunno if itl work or not.
i was thinking of putting a smaller aluminium tubes inside the headtube and re welding where it snapped. would the bit inside reinfoce it so it wont snap again?

i dont like them and i dont have hardly any money and i kno a guy who welds for me for free so yeah

yea it should work...but it better be a very snug fit or it will just rebrake right away on the welds

im just worried that snce i have to re weld it that it might not fit back into the front of the deck

even if you re-weld it that just makes it weaker so all the reinforcement is doing is making up for that

probably your best bet would be to buy a new one from vnc or contact midco and try to get a new one for free. i know one guy got 2 for free from micro, it just took a long time

Bill gives ya 1 free if u got it from him, ur idea will work, put very snug reos in it and r u gettin it TIG? if not i dont like ur chances, after welding heat treat it -----just because i am a ssticky beak, are u get MIG or TIG.......hehe
