Removing a headset

Okay, so i've bought a new headset, i know how to put it in and everything but i can't install it because the old cups of the headset.
i've tried with a hammer and screwdriver etc but it wont budge
any ideas? thanks
Hammer and a screwdriver or anything like a screw driver. I know said you triad but you ha e to like hold the deck down as you hit it. It should come out no problem.
