Removing Star Nuts

i recently traded for a fork over sr. I got it noticing it had a star nut.
How do i take it out?

prob wants to ride ics. i was winderung the same thing too, depending on the fork you could hammer it right through out the bottom, i did that with my old ass dsa fork.

im pretty sure if you hit on one side that would turn it sideways and then you can hammer it out the top, havent tried yet
