Removing Starnut from Bars

I broke my bars(stock) right above my double clamp, about an inch or so below the starnut. I'm wondering if it is possible to remove the starnut, and possibly recycle it for use in future bars. I don't care if I wreck my bars trying to get it out. Any suggestions, please? I searched to no avail.

cut the bars above the starnut, and keep knocking it up (the same way you put it into the bar in the first place) untill it pops out the top.

Take Your compression bolt thread it into the starnut about an inch, and move it back and forth really hard why pulling up and your starnut will back out. I've done this method more than 3 times. (note) "You wont able to use the starnut again.) Unless you bend it back into it's original place.
