Rendering in Sony Vegas [Help Me]

I play around with the settings sometimes and I still haven't been able to find a High Def render that keeps the video smooth. I currently render in wmv, at 90% quality in quality vbr or in cbr. Is there a way to get a High Definition video that is smooth, high quality, and doesn't have those ugly horizontal lines? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

WMV = ew. I dont know exactly how exporting work in Vegas, but you should export in 100% quality microsoft avi, deinterlace the footage to get rid of the 'lines'.

Just save as .avi and then open the file in MPEG Streamclip and compress. someone on sp posted some good settings to compress with from there, here they are:
