(I posted this thread a while back in "discuss anything" but it didnt fit there and I never got much replies so reposting)

So no one in my city rides anymore god damn, all my homies are getting jobs and going to college, all the scooter riders are nonexistent or terrible/mexican beaner, the chill skaters are off to better things and all thats left are sk8ter h8ters, the bmx crowd is falling apart without the seniorsss so now they're just made up of some weird kids, some hate, some don't. I'm losing my drive to ride, I want to get footy out but I have no filmer / money for film equipment, I have no buddies to hang with anymore, and riding alone just bores me.

Well then you don't like riding enough haha...you're gonna find a lot of boredom in your life if you can't experience what captivates you without others there to approve of it. I've grown up with no other scooter riders around at all. All my friends skate, they're all cool as shit. I never go anywhere and get hated on by skaters. If you can shred and you're a cool person nobody who you'd want to spend time with is gonna be a dick to you for riding a scooter.

dude are you serious you live in fucking Milpitas. it literately borders san jose where there are plenty people to ride. just because no one scooters on the street that you live on doesn't mean that there is no one to scooter with. stop making stupid threads and learn to use public transportation. You didn't even start this thread with a purpose of discussing anything you just wanted to complain...

As someone who looks up to you in the community, I don't know what to say. I'm aware that theres a crap ton of scooter riders in the city next to me, but I was looking for the opinion of other SR members on having no one participating in action sports in the town they live in. Close friends of mine just don't have time to ride anymore and of course Im down about it, they were my drive to try harder in riding. I phrased it better in my other thread, sorry I disappointed you man, but chill.

You should go get a job or something, do something that takes up your time so that when you do have some free time you'll feel more inclined to ride. I hardly ever feel like riding but when I get a day off work I feel like I should go to the skatepark and do something with my day instead of sitting at home and I usually end up having fun. You'll be able to buy new parts as well which always makes me wanna ride, at least for a few days haha.

Aye I'm from Washington and I'm down here by San Jose visiting. It'd be great to ride with someone instead of having loner sesh haha

Come through milpitas, Im down to ride anytime dawg. SJ is just a bitch to go to alone since the city is really big, I only know how to get to the DIY lol

I'm about that life. Things that you love are more fun when you can share them with someone else that also loves them. Additionally, lets not forget that it also makes progression about 10 times easier because you have you and whoever you're riding with to keep pushing each other back and forth. Riding alone was one of the biggest reasons I lost my drive to ride, then after a few years I realized that despite the fact that I'm not riding exactly how I want to, I still love the way it feels to ride. Anymore, jumping on my scoot and cruising down a hill is all it takes to get me motivated because it just feels so right.
