While taking this, a man was on the verge of commiting suicide by jumping off Coronado Bridge. The red streaks on the water are coming from the police cars on the bridge. The man later jumped.

Nope. i know all i do is long exposure, but i find normal shots just boring. you click it once and your done. Long expo you have to use filters, perfect your settings, time it right, right time of day, and waiting for the first shot to finish exposing.. i love that feeling. i like landscapes, allows me to go out and just chill with my camera and see new places in a new persepctive

Have you tried to sell any of your photos? or at least gain exposure? There is a company that does travel brochures for San Diego and when I was first starting they contacted me (through Flickr) and asked if one of my photos could be featured in it. Of course I let them use it. I would just try to get your name out there some more. Theres alot of money in photography especially if you get a shot that appeals to everyone.

I have not tried to sell photos.
My dad said i should invest a bit of money into prints and go to a swap meet and set up a booth of some of my photos, that sounds like a start.

But i offered to be the photographer for the CIF Finals Championship game in hope of maybe gaining exposure through articles or something.
A local sports news thing wanted to use some of my hockey photos, so of course i sent them a couple of the good ones. Stoked to see my photos be used...

I've had a bit of people want to buy prints of my downtown sd pic, but i haven't really done anything about it. Your post really got me thinking though, if i invested some money in this i could actually sell my prints.

get them printed on metal if you can. the local metal art gallery by my house is now allowing artists to hang their work and sell it. you would have to print it like 28x36 and it would set you back a couple hundred bucks but it would hang, you get your name out there and you can sell as many as you want. I am going to hang a couple of my pieces in there.

Looks like ive got a couple of buyers though, going to do a run of different sizes and stuff to see how i like it.

I like the one of the skyline. What i would do personally is narrow the aspect of it a bit. you want your eye to focus on the skyline, not so much the empty sky above it. it will also make the skyline appear as more bold/dramatic

Im not sure how to crop it like that without ruining the aspect ratio i think its called
