Any reason I can't run a HIC on a threadless headset and threaded fork? I can't think of a reason it wouldn't work.

Steerer tube doesn't break unless you break chromoly tubes. They come apart like the French ID original forks though.

Well, they don't REQUIRE shortened fork tubes. You can use headset spacers so that you don't need to ruin your fork. Just think of them as head tube lengtheners.

You put a pin in the top of the legs I'll find some examples.

Basically putting a small screw or bolt through the forks to avoid them separating.

I got raw frid forks for sale, they are pinned and in good condition. new starnut installed, ridden by joe riley for a little while then i took them off his hands. offer up. will come with axle, and spacers.
