If your running stock forks, smoother barspins/whip. If you buy a threadless fork, you need a threadless headset and a compression system, so yeah...

why do people bolt their bars? the reason that readily comes to mind is to stop the bars from sliding down. but that doesn't seem like it would b emuch of a prob?

if ur talking bout the steerer tube its so there is no clamp to hit knees/shins on or if u are talking bout the actual handle bars i only do it becasue if i didnt my bar would come out becasue it is 1mm smaller then the id of the t tube and would come out or twist round

whether or not this was a thread before or w/e you can keep your paint from chipping by lacquering it.
its scrapes off if you hit it but it doesnt chip off by it self.
