When you say that resin stuff you mean the black pastic in the middle?
The thing that happens to me most is that it snaps in the middle, not off the deck...

Bolts for locking your folding mech
Get these at your local hardware store (Brandon Kilbury's sizes)
-2 1/2" by 3/8" bolt
-2 1/2" by 5/16" bolt
-2 1/2" by 5/16" bolt
-washers

it doesnt make sense you only use 3 bolts.
And youve got six on there, coz u have repeated the second line.
so do u need 2 larger bolts and one small or two small bolts and one larger.

I wouldn't make one pieces outta aluminium coz i had an alu pole for my bars solid and everything and i couldnt even tailwhip or anything close to big and they bent heaps quick. But thats from me. My one pieces are steel i think lol idk my mate made em for me

im going to make steel bars i think i hate to waste the $$ on aluminum
aluminum is good and light, just get it thick enough and get it heat treated.

john knows alot about aluminum and im just telling you what i remember he told me

also if aluminum sucks, than why are buff bars made out of aluminum?

I got sick of hitting my knee on the bar clamp, so i made a mod of my own. I took off the original clamp and replaced it with two hose clamps that you can buy at any hardware store. I aimed the tightening mechanisms away from me so the part closest to my knee is almost entirely flush, and i also snipped off the excess lengths. It works really well and has not slipped even the slightest bit, plus it is cheap and easy to do, and not permanent like bolting you bars. There is a pic of it on my scoot on my profile.

I have not seen this done before, so i will call it my idea :]

aj. i have 1.12 for my ID on my one pieces and they dont go all the way of my forks and i had to hit them on with a rubber mallet and i didnt everything you said to do. im pissed. and i made a pair for my friend and he cant even get his on, and he said if he doesnt get them on soon he wants his money back. so yeah i need some help on how to get it all the way on.

did you make the slits in the bottom.

i have a good mod to stop this, reinforce the forks them selfs, not the tube that part is always done,

it is a rough job at first, but am going make this to sell soon, & will be a neater job also all polished up after

ABCD0013.jpg

it was done by welding steel plate on to each side on the forks, i have 104mm wheels on at moment & 110mm should fit

i grinded down the edge's after to make it a little neater then when first welded & cut so on, i alsomade pegs on same day, willpost reply on that soon.

ABCD0011.jpg

so far the fork havnt bend at all even with down double peg stalls on box above quater, double peg grinds so on has not bend at all yet,

im going do them better soon, welded stell all round the forks thendown the sides of each fork tube plate thing what ever what call it, grind them to be nest & smooth polished & should be good,

pictures below
