ScooterResource Mobile app?

I use my phone for pretty much everything.. Because well, I don't have a computer! And I always get on Scooter Resource, but it is very slow, I really think this site should make a mobile app! Who else thinks so? Give me your thoughts and opinions! Thanks!

i wasn't directing it that way, i was just saying it would cost a lot to hire professionals to make the app

True, but if it was managed to be an iPod/iPhone app, they could try to put it up for like 99 cents or 1.99, I would definitly get it!

maybe you but i know plenty of people who won't purchase apps, only get free ones. so in your situation it might be a good investment but for others its just not a hassle. what I'm trying to say is there isn't a large pool of people who go on this site through there phone strictly so that an app can be produced and succeed.

it is alot of work writing code for apps. It is not a one time transaction as far as payments to the programmer is because there is constantly going to be problems.

Whatever you, don't get a dysfunctional mobile site. The normal one works just fine, and compared to other webpages, it's not slow at all.

I think it would be awesome, but there are all sorts of problems. Who would do it, how would we pay them, would it be for android blackberry or apple, plus any projects like this on here would just fail. Looks at the t shirts thing.

I could develop one but it would take a few months if you wanted something decent, and then it would have to get approved by admins and what not. Also, iOS apps require aproval from apple and what not before they can get on the appstore, which either wouldn't get approved at all or wouldn't get approved for months, so unless your jailbroken you probably couldn't use it.

I could develop an android app which you can install of an SD card, but it would take a while and I cbf, I've already got 2 more apps to finish.

I really didn't think too much about the work being put into it, and them are some good points, maybe this could be in the future of S.R. when more and more people start getting into the scooter scene and start to become familiar with this site, but for now, like you all said, not enough people would use it to make it worth getting
