scooters in x-games 2012

I kinda hope it goes into the X-Games. If it went into the X-games it would not be in it for very long so alot of companies would lose money, and companies like MGP and Blunt who are in it just for the money, would stop making shit and all the rider owned companies and companies that care about the sport would stay.

yeah i think its best that we wait like 4 for 5 years.
x games would destroy our sport if we entered too soon.

I think it'd be cool if in a couple years minimum, we weren't in X-Games, but they gave us like a little segment. So a couple teams would go there and ride the park or the street course or whatever, they would film it, then make a little edit out of it just for filler.

But at the same time, I want scootering to stay as small of a sport as possible.

Imo, scootering shouldn't go to X games yet, only park would work somehow. Or if it goes there should be something small for scooters, nothin big. Maybe not even competitions, some kinda small show would be great. Ofc with best riders.

smh; you realize what people do when they see someone throw a 540 on a scooter flat, or even a double whip, I think the audience would be like wow, I have a scooter sitting in my garage, and I don't know what the fuck to use it for, like imagine, harry pottter was never written, and all of a sudden your watching espn, Quiditige all of assudden is more popular, like look I can do what with my broom stick ?

Are you special? Phoenix and District are fine, and are promoted and tested by respected riders. Stop just posting with the trend and form a valid opinion.

I agree with you josh. as much as i would want to see the sport progress, and i have dreamed of the day scooters would be in the x games. it would be like inline skates. the market would flood with toy scooter companys. big money would buy out the riders and force them to promote garbage, and rider based companys will die. it would be the end of tsi for sure. we are struggling to stay in bussiness

Sad to hear this :( My faveourite company

sadly, the street comp is like, the least watched event in the X-Games. you just can't please a crowd who doesn't know much about action sports on the tiny street course they have built. the majority of people wants to see vert riding or megaramp. you know, the big flashy stuff.

Scootering may be small in the sport now, which I believe is quite contrary really. In America its still growing, but in the UK is has exploded. What better way to explode the sport than to introduce it to world wide coverage watched by millions and anywhere and that even means the sports bars down the street haha. I think its a good idea and the X-Games can only help the sport grow in my opinion. Think of how advertising works and then you can see how my opinion flows into the growth and good aspects of it. The riders of now, will be the future of tomorrow and the X-Games can only motivate us and future riders.
