Scooting needs better edits

Not hating at all but when you watch videos from other sports they look way more professional. These 2 videos are good examples as to what edits could look like but i have never seen any scooter videos any where near this level. Scooter footage at the moment just seems alot rawer at the moment people like alchemyst and tilt are definatly improving the filming game.

I go to a high school which path is to working as a fimer and imo i think that my videos have a bit of higher production value.

Like filming wise edits need to be well filmed but editing wise it's all a matter of opinion, some like the overly edited (filmburns, slow-mos etc) but some might like the raw look of edits

The only group I see taking chances with angles and editing is Satori. Their videos always have such a unique feel to them, but at the same time they are getting repetitive... idk if that makes sense

It depends what you want in an edit, even the same with good filming, different people like different angles. I can whatch sd/hd and enjoy both if they are done well. In my opinion the franky morales video had a little too much slo mo, but the riding seemed awesome, not that i know much about blading. i dont like it in videos where there are too many random interludes of film clips (as in movie clips) n stuff which are sometimes either unrelated or in my opinion unneccecary. I still try to enjoy the riding in most edits though as that is what matters most to me.

yo you're fucking ridiculous dude go on the trendkill facebook or lit or something like that there are assloads of sick ass, well done videos coming out constantly. SR has top ten videos of the month. five years ago, it was the only ten videos of the month. Sorry to be rude but seriously there has been so much growth and progression over the past few years and there are tons of kids making sick ass videos. Do you just not watch videos? Or do you just have some crazy, high-minded idea about what scootering should be? Where are your groundbreaking videos that will get us "a lot more credibility"? Who the fuck cares about credibility? Be the change man, and appreciate your scene because there is a lot to learn even if sometimes it seems like there isn't.

yhhh man trendkill are killing it these days mann and also tilt scooters, and satori, kovu crew, tsi, and all the rest of the legit brands

i think one of the main problems is that a lot of the people who are involved in the sport are generally younger and they don't have a lot of money to spend on supercameras and lenses etc. Most parents would dismiss it as "just a phase" and wouldn't be prepared to throw £500 on a camera that their kid is just gonna break or lose. In other sports like BMX the age demographic is higher and most people have jobs and they can afford cameras and cars to take them to fancy spots for one clip. and then the younger kids couldn't grasp editing or camera settings and give up quickly whereas older people can learn quicker.

I see a lot of good edits and a ton of bad ones. Everything from tilt, satori, trendkill, etc is on point. Im just so sick of these park kids and their stupid mongo pushing t3i rokion edits. Everyone hates on HD so much. I prefer SD but HD can look better if its done right. You dont have to have a HVX ethier. Ive seen some great HD skate and bmx videos that werent HVX. Ive gotten my settings on my t3i to look very similar to an HVX. I also film with a opteka screw on lens which in my opinion looks sooo much better than any 300 dollar attachable lens because i can adjust it to have as much vig as I want. I also have a VX2 so i try to film HD like SD. What kids dont do ethier is have good b roll and film long lens. They film all in fisheye. Its all about angles. This is my far my favorite skate edit just because of the angles, the music choice, and the b roll. it all on point. Its made by a local dude who films for videograss if anyone on here snowboards.
