scorcher fork with mini scs

Ok on the scorcher fork there is a part about a half a inch in where it has a part thats thinner im guessing thats where your suppose to cut it for mini scs right?
And dont call me a dumbass because i really dont give a shit.

depends how much more, if its like a millimeter than its no big deal. if its a centimeter or 2 then ur screwed. my suggestion is using marker on the spot u wanna cut, it always helps me ;] as long as it has a bit to clamp on too its ok, but the less it has the more likely it is to get loose/break ur bars...good luck =]

The line inside the fork is it keep the starnut from pulling up.

Don't cut the fork. Get a headset spacer and use that.

I really don't see how cutting your fork is stupid, it's not going to mess it up. I also don't know why SZ made their forks with a lip to hold the star nut down, star nuts are made specifically to do just that and have been working for decades on bikes. Unless you don't know how to work on your scooter or tighten your headset way too much then star nuts shouldn't be budging.

That lip was designed to work with the normal SCS. Starnuts slip on aluminum.
Alex, Its a bike not a scooter. What happens if the kid wants to switch from baby scs, He has to get a new fork cause the tube will be to small.

If the kid wants to switch from baby to normal SCS I'm sure it would be fine, he'd just have to hit the star nut out then put it in a bit less deep. I bet ICS/HIC would work fine too, as long as the clamp he's using is good enough. Or he could just use spacers, shame they're too ugly though.
