yes i have done it take 2 forks with scs and i no u dont need compression with a threded fork but they gett striped
all u have 2 do is take ur fork and drill a 1/4 hole in it about 1-2 in deep and tap it with a 1/4 tap
so then u need no star nut
all u need to do when u get ur scs it use a 1/4 screw
the only problem is the srew is not metic
i wish i had a brassknuckle to show u but here is a pi of the fork with the srew in it

Because SCS kits are meant for threadless forks, jeeeeez.

Why would you use a SCS on a threaded fork if you can use a cheap $1 large nut over the fork? Also, the threads on the fork will make the diameter just a bit smaller, but it's plenty of enough to fucck up the SCS, because SCS clamps are made with percision, so if the forks or bars aren't percise, then both parts will sit into the clamp slanted and the clamp won't support those parts. That's why you shouldn't use SCS kits on threaded forks.
