For some reason my SCS keeps getting loose? Like from half a day of riding it gets pretty loose. (few hours)

My setup :
Phoenix Cooper Klaars (normal sized, not oversized, no slit, i use the shim in my scs)
Tilt SCS (not the LT)
Lucky Motion Deck 2012
Lucky SMX Forks 2012
...

i have a feeling i need headset spacers but i am not too sure. help?
(i have a 1mm, 5mm and 10mm spacer)
currently got a 5mm spacer on, and it gets loose with that :(
here are some pics of it

try not tightening it Allll the way, but like part of the way, where its all the way tight but not the tightest it goes. If that doesn't work, experiment with different headset spacers and use washers between your topcap and compression bolt to see what works.

If the top of your fork is touching the bottom of the compression spacer inside the SCS then it is not compressing properly, so that is why it would become loose. If it isn't touching that then your problem is most likely due to your bars. Phoenix bars come with pretty thick powdercoating, so if you have to stretch out your SCS to get the bars in there properly, then that won't allow the clamp to tighten properly on both the fork and bars. Just sand down the bottom of your phoenix bars if the spacer isn't your problem, and that should fix it.

Thanks for the replies everyone.
But anyways, @TomK so I have the 10mm spacer on and theres about a 1/4" or 1/3" of space between the fork and the bottom of the compression spacer cap(the thing that the screw goes through.) anyways, that's not bad is it? Cause like, i'll put the SCS on without the spacer and theres about a 5mm space, is that what spacer i need?
Also, my starnut is a little bit crooked but i dont think that will affect it?
And how far would I have to sand down my phoenix bars? would it be from my finger down?(pics below)

Either the 5mm or 10mm spacer should be enough to make you headset compress completely. IF you are gonna sand your bars you only need to sand the bottom 1.5" of them. Just the part the clamp is in contact with, which is where your finger is, but I don't see any paint on your bars, so you shouldn't even need to sand them. Your starnut might be slipping up your fork, which would cause your headset to loosen, other than that I am not sure what the problem would be. Make sure all your bolts are tight, and when you tighten your headset make sure it is a little tighter than you want it to be because all headset will loosen slightly with use.

Thanks, gonna be re-adjusting the starnut straight and pushing it in a bit.

when you have a tilted starnut, then it won't compress the headset equally from every side, so it will break your headset, I had the same problem, but I just put another starnut in straight and it stopped wobbling

Reinstalled the starnut perfectly straight at a bike shop using the starnut installer and the headset still seems to get loose.

Using 10mm spacer :(
not sure on what to do.

Sometimes if I have only had a tiny space in between the fork and the top cap mine comes loose to so make sure u have a decent gap between the fork and the top cap.
