SCS help

my starnut is in the forks but the silver bit with thread on it has ejected itself out of the starnut what do i do to get it back in? as i can not get my forks off to put a new headset on.

You just need a new starnut.

if the bit is below the starnut, try to grip it from the bottom then just loosen the bolt.

if it's on top, i don't see how there is a problem.

either way you need a new starnut.

if u cant get your scs off because the star nut is broke...you need to take something long like an ics bolt...put it through the ics hole in the bottom of your fork and pound out the starnut from the fork so that your scs is now sperate from your fork
