Can u run an scs on threaded forks and if so will a threadless headset work 2 or do i need threadless forks when i dont brake stock forks????

no scs dosnt work on threded forks thats why they sell threadless forks but if you dont get new forks you dont need new bars just cut off the slit and your bars will be the same size cause the slit is 2 inches and a brass knuckle raises it 2 inches

You can run threadless headsets with threaded forks, but you cannot run an SCS with threaded forks.

k cus my friend is running 1 on threaded forks but i dont kno how and the guy at the bike shops said that i need compression 2 run a FSA pig headset

honestly? my friend runs his SCS fine with a threaded (razor ultra pro) fork and a shim, no damage to the inside of the scs either after 2 weeks of riding, and obviously he is using the stock threaded headset with that

k but can i run an unsealed FSA headset on a threaded fork with a lock nut on top without an scs without the headset wearing out but i should be able to run the bottom cup fine... shouldnt i??? =P

That's exactly what I said, you can use threadless headsets on threaded forks.

kids will make it work. only because they like the look of scs. dont buy scs for the looks. if you really want that look so bad. go threadless or buy 2 half knucks. or dont listen to us and do it.

Are people forgetting the whole point of compression? It's to be able to run threadless forks. Kids only buy it because it looks cool now...

u can run an scs on a threaded fork it just is not as strong and effectly threadless!!!

it'll work but the headset wont., but i recomend jbwelding the forks to threadless
