soak them in boiling water for a little bit (30 seconds or less) but dont touch them on the side or bottom of the pot (melting is not good), this will make them very soft and elastic (until they dry)

the only bad thing i could think of happening is you have throttle grip longer than usual

Is it odd that my seat post(s) look NOTHING like the ones you all have?

Not all bmx seatpost are with the hole horisontally centered. For example this is a seatpost too, but there's no way you could mount a regular handlebar there because it's not designed with the big circular hole.

Yeah its a BMX seat post

But its fucking weird it doesent even have those tightening things, its like a bolt and a small hole...

Anyway, don't worry about it, I might go and buy a Haro seat post tomorrow with some grips or something...
