Secret Forks ;)

well obviously the pheonix phork design is the strongest and maybe lightest or cheapest type of forks. like other people have said all bmx and skateboards look the same, if this is the best design people will copy it.

Anyone who says they look identical are just generalizing. Sure they have the same basic shape, but they are different.

no one has even said they are identical, were all just saying they look so much like Phorx, only different thing i can see is the axle thing

Yeeaaaah no. I don't see how we're generalizing. same shape. same hole on the sides. same shaped hole on the sides.
Differences: The sides of the MSC fork are more square, the hole is bigger. The dropouts are open. I can see how all of these will reduce the strength.

I wish someone made forks in the shape of a dragon or a GRENADE.. phoinex phorx grenade edit with phoinex grenade compression !

i think they should just most things simple, the simpler the better. i think this fork looks similar to a old french id which was an amazing fork everyone bought them. and they are strong. it looks like its one piece unlike the old french ids, they are perfect shape for pegs. i think they look way better then phoenix also

It is confusing but is basically the idea of HIC, but the fork tube has an upper part that tightens onto the whole fork and compresses the headset. Once the piece is on, it still has the diameter of a standard fork, so you can slide your standard bars on with a normal clamp. Saves you from needing a shim, oversized bars, and an oversized clamp. The only problem so far was the forks were bending. We are looking into fixing this problem, but once it is strong, it will be, in my opinion, the most efficient way to ride threadless compression.

wow, then theres still a problem because theres still a slit, which many people have broken. at least with normal hic bars the tubing is bigger, so im assuming that makes them stronger. might as well use a thick threaded fork.

ive yet to see bars broken in scs, and it compresses everything just as well as hic, therefore im going to go out on a limb and say scs could be the only compression in 5-10 years. idk why companies are still trying to innovate weaker parts, it makes no sense to me. this is like de-evolution.

im guessing hic integrated to the fork.... system scooters have made prototypes of it. i cant imagine what else it could be since the forktube is blurred
Hmmmmmmm... I could see how that would work, and it would be a nice step up. Might be a bit heavy, but It would still be a dialed system

yeah i had to cut my RUP bars at the slit cuz they cracked all around at the top of the slit... and then i said, thats it, SCS for life

Would it work to have undersized forks so normal bars fit HIC? ;) And then the forks taper to normal size?

Tony it's just the SCS is too complicated for some people and HIC is an easy solution.

And when they break their HIC bars at the slit, they can buy SCS'!
