Should I get the VX?

its an old camera. if your moms paying for it or supervising you, she most likely won't want to do it. research a little bit before you purchase, you seem inexperienced. can't real talk, my first cam was a dvx but i researched a shit ton

I worked with digital HD hard drive cameras, then DSlr cameras, and then eventually moved to a dvx100b. I don't think you should move fast into a camera like a vx until you know the basics of any camera

yea theres this kid that skates at clairemont and he was like "dude this guys selling a slightly broken vx for only 600 the only problem is it doesn't read tapes"

me and my friend that knows about cameras were laughing so hard and he didnt understand thats like one of the worst problems you can have with a camera that takes tape

if your going to buy a vx1000 be ready to drop at least 1100 for EVERYTHING that you need

vx (duh..)
a legit bag
a cap cam
tons of tapes
fisheye
firewire

you cant just buy a vx1000 and start filming theres alot of care that need to be taken with this camera or else your going to fuck it up. they are old, but they can be repaired if needed. a vx isnt the greatest camera to start off with. even though it has a handle and everybody knows its a legit camera, you gotta be ready for it
