Immature kids at my local. Enough said.
ah ok, all I said was what I personally haven't heard that but yes there probably are some people who claim a bunnyhop is easier than an Ollie.
those kinds of references though don't even add up properly to say skating is harder per se. what I mean is say a bunnyhop is easier than an Ollie does not in itself mean that scootering is easier as you need defined terms. technically In and of itself scootering does not have a difficulty level as you need to specify what you are doing on a scooter.
e.g a quad whip flat is very hard on a scooter but that does not make scootering hard or easy as it depends what you mean by scootering.
getting away from the technicall side of things what people generally mean is that it is easier to learn the basics of scootering than the basics of skating which is true to some degree, riding a skateboard is harder than riding a scooter and doing an Ollie is harder than a bunnyhop
however some things(which are fairly basic) are much harder on a scooter than a skateboard. for example riding fakie on a skateboard is much easier than fakie on a scooter, standing on a skateboard whilst it is stationary is easier than standing on a scooter while it is stationary etc.
I know it seems like I am getting fussy with terms but if you don't have well defined terms discussions often result in misunderstanding and it also lets skaters get away with generalising the whole of scootering as easy and drawing the conclusion that pro scooter riding isn't even that hard, some pros atm are insane and the bar keeps rising.
on another note I started skating a week ago today and I landed a hardflip 1 foot, for some reason I find hardflips easier to spin than many tricks considered easier but they are just so fun to pop. I'll be uploading progress soon but it has just rained (I had a short sesh before the rain) and I need a cameraman to film which I don't always have too
